    Blinking blinkers on the blink

My indicators sometimes don’t come on when I move the stalk down. Is this a problem with the indicator stalk itself?

    Steering angle

When I used a Nanocom recently, it said the steering angle was -171 degrees (I assume it should say 0 degrees), even though the wheels were straight ahead. Is this the clock spring in the steering column out of alignment? Anyone know?

    Defender stance

Should a Defender sit slightly tilted forward or should it sit level? My Defender has been made into a camper and if anything, sits a bit low at the back. I’ve been given a set of 1” rear spring spacers and was wondering if I should go to the trouble of fitting them. I have standard height HD...

Seems like it was indeed the gearbox.

    YouTuber with a broken gearbox

Not me btw. I was watching a Swiss family on YouTube and they’ve started a trans-America journey; however, this has been thwarted by a broken gearbox. I was watching previous videos and they’ve indicated that they drove their car “like they stole it”! It’s a TDCi 110, pop-up roof, lifted, big...

    Frozen handbrake?

Thank you for the replies; in the end, I used a hot air gun on it, there a bit of a pop and the Landy rocked back a very small amount. It was at that moment that I wondered if it really was in gear…

    Frozen handbrake?

I went on a greenlane yesterday which had several deep iced over puddles. I have just got in my Landy and tried to reverse it off the drive and it won’t move. It feels like the handbrake is still on; although it isn’t. The temperature was -3C last night, has water got into the handbrake drum and...

    Defender won’t start

Now sorted. It was an issue with an auxiliary alarm system that is fitted to my Defender.

    Defender won’t start

I did have a flat battery recently so this might be connected somehow.

    Defender won’t start

Seems a bit too good to break it and sell it for parts…🤣

    Defender won’t start

A quick look on Nanocom seems to indicate that the ECM is not being seen. Fault code U0100 - a quick look on various forums would indicate that this is not unique to many Puma owners. Err…I’m not too sure what to do next.

    Defender won’t start

My 2011 Puma won’t start. I’ve not used it for a week and when I turn the key, the temperature gauge flicks to maximum. The battery is at 12.8v so it’s definitely not that. I’ll see if I can borrow a friend’s OBD reader.

    Leaning Defender camper

On his YouTube video, he had his bed on the drivers side (RHD) and everything else on the LHS. It’s not really surprising it leans over.

A certain company in Wales produces rear spring spacer packs. I’ll get the chap to email them.

    Leaning Defender camper

I have been conversing with a chap from Hong Kong who is travelling around the world in his Defender camper. He says that most of the cupboards in the back of his Defender are on the left hand side and this has caused it to lean too much. What would be the best way to get his Defender back onto...

    Td5 puma chassis

A work colleague just changed the chassis over on his TD5 and I’m sure that he used a Puma one. I can’t really ask him to confirm atm cos he’s gone to Morocco for the winter.

I did ask that and they said they would find out the price of a new axle for me 🤷‍♂️

    Land Rover recall

Update: Just spent 3 hours waiting in the local Land Rover garage whilst they fitted the new brackets. I thought it was going to be a complicated job but in reality, the bracket is held on by the radius arm bolts and would take 5 minutes to complete. Sorry for the poor quality pictures.
