for the money, and considerin what you need it for, a late 300tdi would be a good choice. capable enough for horse work with hay and whatnot, comfortable enough for the missus not to moan also 4k only buys you an alright defender, but it could buy you a good/sorted disco just my 2 pence

sorted out the tow bar on my rangie, gonna tackle the electrics over the weekend

i use pretty similar to barmatt in my 200tdi, but probs go as low as 30 % oil in the winter

I've got a spare set of brake discs laying around the garage, brought brand new for a '95 discovery 300tdi. does anyone know if they would fit a '96 P38? If it saves me having to go out buying a whole new set that'll be my friday night made :D If not i'll just flog em cheers
