P38A Tailgate release button (Simple) repair.

Hi guys, don't know if this has been suggested or posted up before but it's so easy to do, it seemed a shame not to share. The tailgate release button is notorious for failing usually at the most inopportune times and invariably when the top half is shut. I tackled my failed button today and...

P38A 4.6 Thor lockout/Nanocom issues. Help needed please.

Thanks again Wammers. Handbook says Fuse 14 on mine but checked 15 anyway. Both intact and all the other items on those circuits are operating correctly. So I'm guessing it'll be the actual switch? Is there an easy way of testing the circuit between drivers door and tailgate, wondering if...

P38A 4.6 Thor lockout/Nanocom issues. Help needed please.

You're absolutely right. Just put a partially charged battery on and I now have most of my central locking back. I was able to enter EKA as well. So far so good but not enough Oooomph to start her. Will have to get a new battery before I go anty further. I still have no boot lock but will...

    P38 instrument pack. Stuck!

Which is absolutely correct until the last three words. Almost feels like someone has put super strong double sided tape on the back. I shall give it another wiggle.... Sometime. Losing the will at the moment. :D At least I know there's not a super secret nail holding it in place. :D

    P38 instrument pack. Stuck!

The bottom screws were fully removed. As you know, you only have to loosen the top two to remove the shroud brackets. For those that don't know http://www.rangerovers.net/repairdetails/binnacle.html ;) :)

    P38 instrument pack. Stuck!

Bit of an odd one. Need to replace a couple of bulbs in the instrument cluster. Removed the shroud - No problem. Wiring etc. Loosened the retaining screws, 2 top and 2 bottom. Cluster now moves freely, pivoting around its horizontal axis but won't move up or down and no sideways movement. Will...

P38A Bit of a handling problem.

When I bought my rangie it had a set of very wide 20" drug dealers... sorry, wheels on it with 295/45. The ride and handling, frankly was shocking. Tram lining was very noticeable, ride was harsh and the handling scary bad. I put this down the the wheels and promptly changed them for some 18"...

P38A It really is a joy to own.

I believe I may be the luckiest P38a owner around these parts. Not only does the mysterious noise from the front axle/hub completely disappear! but the passenger side blend motor has mysteriously started to work again. The book sign has removed itself from the HEVAC display and the air-con is...

P38A Funny noise..... Ain't they all? Front hub?

It's gone, Emigrated, Removed itself from audible range..... Drove down to Norfolk and back yesterday and by the time I'd gone 30 miles it had reduced to a slight squeak. When I arrived at my destination it had gone completely. So it's either worn itself out or fallen off! :D I haven't driven...

    P38A Dash bulbs

I know that used to be the law regards rear lights with cracks etc and even traveling with interior lights on. Changing tack slightly, the number of trucks I've seen with red, blue, orange, green LED logo's illuminated on the cab bulkhead would also fall into the 'offense' bracket. So should one...

P38A Funny noise..... Ain't they all? Front hub?

This is the one that my nephew and I have come up with as being a likely possibility. . Would have liked it to have been this simple but it's the comb clicking type noise that suggests it might be something else. We can't recreate the noise by spinning the wheels. So probability is it's a...

P38A Funny noise..... Ain't they all? Front hub?

Well. Had the wheels off, calipers off. Inspected the discs, backplates anything that rotates or is even close to something that rotates. Had my nephew hanging out the car while driving (slowly) and have come to the following conclusion. . . . . It's bloody frustrating!!!!:rolleyes:
