Where are you looking? I've spent the day looking at 300tdi's and most are between 1800 and 2.5k, not great examples either. I know diesel has a premium but prices do seem to vary depending on where you are in the country.

Thanks for the replies, and for the offer of assistance Mark, very kind. As you can see I'm in Essex so it might be a bit far you.:) I think I've ruled out number 1 and might go back to number 3 and see how low he'll go. In the mean time there is a few more in my area to look at.
