thanks makes sense , never heard of this before ;)

noticed that when i switch engine off i hear a noise like air blowing and traced it to a pipe on passenger side of car at the front , looks like exhaust time gases are being blown out for a few seconds after switching off , what is it :confused:

i have completey removed the pipe without plugging , is this also ok

where is the fuel filter and how do you get to it , thanksssssssssss

could not get to the valve . looks like a ramp is needed to remove the sump guards 1st , hope this is right , gonna ask local independant landy guys to do it

you where right fortunately my friend did it has i am recovering from a detached retina , defo seems to run better , it was minging inside , i presume the little pipe that operated the valve is just disconnected and removed :fighting2::bounce:

fitting a new solenoid valve , fuel filter and egr blanking mod for good measure , hope the solenoid valve clears the problem :(

i have this exact problem , only had it a week so did not pick it up on test drive , to be fair i bought it off an elderly lady who basically drove it round the lanes to the shops and back. i have ordered a STC4198 solenoid valve has this sounds like the cure , £60 delivered was the best price...
