    Realistic mpg for a 90

What I have found to be best for fuel economy is to make sure it is properly serviced, all filters are changed, premium quality oil, fresh diff and gearbox oil. Also pay attention to the tyres you have, perhaps have some high quality road biased tyres for the week and get some more aggresive...

This one looks a bit odd....

Its more than a little odd. A series 2 supposedly built in 1959 with coil springs??!!!! Was it a range rover prototype....lol. Of course it isnt, I think the only series 2 thing on there is the use of the plate and the VIN. It makes me furious that people think they can get away with it and...

    Tdci

It is going to be a can protocol that Ford uses I assume as it is a drivetrain system from Ford. I found this about Transits that also use the 2.4 duratorq engine: 'Up to 2003 model year , protocol J1850 PWM was used but from 2004 Model year Ford moved to ISO 14230 CAN communication however...

    I'M BACK!!! And a new project - target 50mpg

How about looking at getting the magical 50mpg a different way... When a Land Rover is moving the main issue is the amount of air that needs to be moved out of the way by it. Meaning more power is used just to keep a steady speed. More power needed means more fuel wasted. As a Landy makes a...

    61plate defender 90 stolen

The reason I asked what engine they had is because the 2.2 has been out since the beginning of the year, why would you want to demonstrate the older version? Just sounds like it hasn't been a demonstrater all this time. I have a 61 plate 2.4 90 in grey too I bought in april from a lr dealer...

    61plate defender 90 stolen

Thats quite a long time to own a demonstrator, was yours a 2.4tdci or one of the early 2.2s? Usually, they try and have a new one for the current registration and the defenders dont hang around on dealer forecourts. Also, why would you steal a car from where it was sold from if you worked...

    61plate defender 90 stolen

How about looking at it a different way.... It is a used car and the reg is Severn valley area (Worcester). Have you perhaps thought who the previous owner was?

    The beast is gone

Any distingishing features on the disco mate? Type of wheels on there, any interior mods? It might come up as a 'rebuilt' discovery (if you class changing the vin and number plates as rebuilt) in a different area of the country. so anything like that will make it a bit more noticeable.

Hi Johnny, If you provide me with your vin, I might be able to find it on the reg lookup we use...

Hi Johnny, If you provide me with your vin, I might be able to find it on the reg lookup we use at work. I can type in the vin and as long as its in dvla database, it should be there. I tried it with my old disco thats been exported and it came back with its reg vin, everything. every car should...

Theft of V8 CSW warrington 18/05/2012

These items on ebay number 300714155576. They are not from your missing pride and joy are they? Its because you mentioned Warrington where your landy went missing and Liverpool is not a million miles away. Hope there aren't, but if they are you could have a lead.
