I know you can buy a hand LPG pump and just connect up to Calor gas cylinders to fill up that way….. but can you be arsed? More stuff hanging around you have to look after! The UK seem to have given up on the LPG experiment.

My guess is.... The pipes have rubbed against the chassis rail where they turn up towards the steering box, and holed. I replaced mine last year... one was reasonably priced, the other was off the scale. Better to go to a hydraulic pipe fabricator and have them make one up if you need it...

I second getting a larger kit with the extra mandrels and sleeves. You can't have too many. I did my upper and lowers last year, both sides. It was a pretty easy job really, the C clamp thing gave up getting the last one out, so I bought another from Amazon Prime and it was with me by the end...

...and the winner is! The rear exhaust silencers are knocking the rear subframe/towing eye. So my brother has been down, and I've just had a crawl underneath the car. Even though it sounds like it's coming from under the drivers seat, it's actually the rear pipes knocking the subframe...

Needs to be balanced too... That's the key difference. And balanced line outs are normally only available on top end skookum gear. Unfortunately for us, Land Rover seems to have said "We just want the Best" and Clarion and HK delivered it!

If you have the posh stereo, that's the Harmon Kardon speakers and Clarion (early) Alpine (later) stereo install, they operate on balanced line level outputs to separate door speaker amps. It reduced interference, and makes the sound quality brilliant... but it also means it won't play nice...

Did you ever find out what CDAC ER 2 means @JamesBB ? It's doing that on mine. Worked fine before it was laid up for engine treatment Still ejects the CD cartridge. When you put it in, it doesn't do that thing where it loads each CD one at a time to see what slots are full though....

I wondered about the flex plate….. but it’s less than 2000 miles old. It was Britpart, but even they should be able to make a plate of steel last longer than that shouldn’t they!!! I really don't want to have to get that out again....

I took the belt off and gave the pulley a good wrench from all sides. Seemed solid a rock to me. I think it might be the CATs. That's where it seems to be coming from. I'll get a helper to stop it rolling over me and I'll have a proper look this weekend with luck....

It's not the crank pulley. At least I can't feel any play in it. Can't see anything loose in the engine bay, or anything that might knock together. With the door open it sounds like it's coming from under the drivers seat area.... I'll have to get someone to stand on the brake whilst I roll...

I'll go and try it at lunchtime. It only occurs at tickover or just above. Once you get above that it all quietens down... How do I check the vibration damper @Datatek ? It's like once the slop in the drivetrain is taken up it stops.
