    Scraping noise when using accelerator

No, it has been present since I got the car. I was hoping the ATF change might help, but not so. Its like a brake scraping noise, but they seem clear, including the handbrake, and its only happening when on the accelerator pedal.

    Scraping noise when using accelerator

My 96 v8 4.6 makes a light metallic scraping noise but only when I press the accelerator. It seems to be from the left side of the driving position. I have had the wheels off the ground and turned them but I cant hear anything obvious underneath. Have recently greased propshafts, changed diff /...

Lack of power and lambda sensors

I had my cheap OBD reader on it and they are flipping over, but probably over 1 second between flips. I think they are meant to flip faster than that, although there is no diagnostic code saying flip time over the maximum. They might needed changed, but I doubt they are the ultimate cause of the...

Lack of power and lambda sensors

Hello everybody. I have had a long standing performance issue with my 4.6 P38 1996. It basically has a total lack of power, very noticeable on hills. I did have rattly cats when I got the motor, but this seems to have stopped. As I thought they might be blocked, I wanted to do an exhaust...

    Throttle assembly question

Thanks for all the quick replies ! The history that came with the car suggests the ICV was changed out relatively recently. I had taken it off and it looked in good condition, very clean as was the throttle body. Your comments confirm what I thought, that a bodge had bee done to maintain higher...

    Throttle assembly question

I am checking out rough idling on my P38 and while checking the throttle assembly I was wondering if the stop on the linkage mechanism has been "modified" ie bent over ? I haven't seen another one but the image in the manual seems to suggest it is flat and not bent over as in the pics attached ...

    GEMS MAF Output voltage

Hello, I am looking for some help with my 1996 P38 4.6 if possible. It has been suffering from a lack of power since I acquired the car, with poor fuel consumption also. I have an OBDII tester which identified fault codes PO102 and PO103 - indicating the airflow circuit both high and low at some...
