Roof for a 90 wanted / roll bar and soft roof for sale

Am going to convert the my 1987 90 to a hard top. Am after a complete roof (including rear door if poss). Colour doesn't matter. Would prefer a non-van one but if that's all I can find, I'll have it. If I can find one I'll be putting an 18 month old Exmoor Trim canvas hood, all the roof bars...

    Hard top for 90 convertible

Way back in the day before it was mine, someone converted what was once a 90 van (my 1987) in to a convertible. Q: roll bar is a bolt-on not a chassis job. If I unbolt it can I still fit a hard-top?

    Silly new bit

Yeah, I know. I like it though.

    Flatdog UK.

Anyone had any experience of them? Only ask as I just went on the site to look for something and my eye was caught by a reflective warning sticker which would be useful for my tailgate when out shooting. £3, plus vat. So £3.60. Except they round it up to £3.70. Then postage. Minimum available...

If you don't know about ACF-50...

Might be well known here so apologies if I'm teaching you suck eggs but having had so much great advice on here since I joined I'd like to offer a tiny bit back. Bikers have been using this stuff for years, I discovered it when I had my GSA, but it seems little known in the four wheeled world...

    Car radio - odd question

Looking for a big standard radio. No CD, no MP3, no dancing digital displays. Landy (soft top) couldn't be less secure and I only want to listen to Radio 4 anyway :-) Ideally I'd like one with dials and LW, so I can listen to Test Match Special, but I appreciate that's likely to be impossible...

    A man and his garage

Moved house on Sunday. Got a garage for the first time in about three years. In fact a garage and a separate workshop. Mrs doesn't quite understand my delirium. 90 will be dry, and I can spend half the year in there fiddling about with stuff, I said. It's not gone down wholly well...:D

Can anyone recommend a good stater kit for the 90 please? Am fitting a stereo for the forst time so makes sense to get all the wiring done at once. Anything I won't want to upgrade as soon as I get to grips with it will do, so long as it makes me look like Burt Reynolds, obviously.

Little technical advice from my betters please...

90 convertible project has come right on from the mad early days Now very nice indeed (but with the usual recurring niggles a la painting the Forth Bridge etc). Anyway, having done engines and gearboxes and clutches and re-wiring and bulkheads and, sod it, everything, I can now start thinking...

    Adrian Flux

When I was a kid they were actually a small company which cared. Utterly crap. Just had my agreed value after a year. Exactly the same as a standard Landy, despite this one being rebuilt, new engine, new gearbox, Rakeway clutch, new everything, specced to bits, and they're demanding £15 for the...

Disco 3 OEM side steps (pair)

These are fitted to the Disco we picked up from James French at the weekend. Unmarked, genuine LR, fitted at point of sale when the vehicle (2006) was new. Car's done 19000 miles in that time, so was high days and holiday only I think, and the steps look like you'd expect given the light use...

Disco 3 - one bit for sale, one needed

Morning, I'm after a load space mat for a 2006 Disco 3. Also have a spare load space cover from our previous HSE (2007) Disco 3 which needs to go. In Oxfordshire, if anyone can help.

    Bike (motor) kit clearout

My GSA went in Jan. Cleared out about half my kit but now need to do the rest (for which read the wife has put her foot down re the spare room). Will come up with a detailed list but have at least two sets of very good top-end textiles (including Hein Gericke Cruise suit), couple of MX lids...

    Steering guard

To fit a 1987 90. Prefer an alloy one if poss but good galvy steel one would work too.

    Chassis protection

After a little advice from my betters, please. Having finally rebuilt the '87 90 and now using it as my daily drive, I need to do the chassis. Where it was left standing for three years it's developed light surface rust but luckily it was left on gravel, not grass, which probably saved it. So...

    Bush wires/cables

Saw a 90 with them on last week, and was laughing about it on Twitter. Mate replied with this gem. Turns out to be a firm flogging them, apparently at all the shows. Knew people could be stupid, but they can always surprise you eh? This is spectacular dim-wittedness. Almost of of the cables...

    Odd question - gear knobs

Every one I've put on my Defender (LT177) comes loose and wobbles about. They're all rubber fittings not screw down, although the stick has thread for a screw one. Been hunting for one online and they're bizarrely hard to find. Anyone suggest someone who sells one (just a rubber one, no...

    Wolf light guard fitting.

Thought I'd put these on today in the absence of the wife (then go to the pub, obviously). No fitting instructions but I thought 'how hard can it be?' Hmmmm. Here's the gubbins. So the four plastic clips must go on the bottom to create the hinge effect when you unpop the turntable "T" bits...
