Ooooh I like your pic and your quote - that accurately reflects many of my much loved projects over the years lol ;-)

Sankey Narrow Track Military Trailer for sale :-)

I wouldn't sell either to you if you were the last person available with cash money. You can't even buy the hitch for the hitch for £50 let alone the support stands, lights, wiring harness. Enthusiast my ass. You don't know what you are talking about. Something needing a new bulkhead and...

Sankey Narrow Track Military Trailer for sale :-)

I didn't grow up in the UK but I was raised by an english father and a dutch step mother, and telling someone to "**** off..." was always considered really rude in my house. Have a nice evening.

Sankey Narrow Track Military Trailer for sale :-)

God is everyone here rude and crude? I was clear in the description what it is and what's wrong with it. Forget it! I'll take the posting down and I'll be d@mned if I post anything on here again.

Sankey Narrow Track Military Trailer for sale :-)

That's not really very polite. The truck is not ####ed and when I have more time I'm sure I'll completely rebuild it, I'm not particularly interested in selling it as it's pretty bad ass and if you look on e-bay and other sites and do your research you'll see that the parts on the Sankey...

Complete Conversion: Ford Transit 2.5 Di Engine, radiator & kit (adapter plate etc)

I have one of these conversions in my Series III 88" and it adds an incredible amount of power, acceleration and fuel economy. The only downside is due to the type of mechanical injectors used it is a little bit louder than the Land Rover equivilent, however for the added power and fuel economy...

    front wing wanted

Does it make any difference if it's Petrol or Diesel?? I only have spare Series III wings at the moment, but I was just curious so I know for future reference. Thanks!

Series Land Rover Brake Adjuster Kit RTC3176 Instructions (BearMach/Britpart)

I'm thinking it was the cheap annoying company I ordered from on eBay that maybe didn't bother to include them rather than the manufacturer.... One thing I did notice though is that looking at them from the back side (from the mechanics pit) it appears that even though I tightened the bolts...

Series Land Rover Brake Adjuster Kit RTC3176 Instructions (BearMach/Britpart)

Interestingly I found that the bolts prevented the shoes from resting on the steady posts when installed correctly. I found that in my particular application, dual wheel cylinders (I believe I have Series III, 109", 4cyl axles/brakes installed to compensate for the larger, heavier Ford Transit...

Series 3 Hand Brake Expander play in housing

I have both the Land Rover Repair Manual and the Haynes as well so between the two of them I did figure out the correct way to adjust it once I got the new shoes in... The new shoes on the front axles is a whole other issue that apparently is a very common one when u don't spend the big bucks on...

Series Land Rover Brake Adjuster Kit RTC3176 Instructions (BearMach/Britpart)

I have been searching and searching and finally found instructions on how to install and replace the brake adjusters! The BearMach kit appears to be good quality, but it came with no instructions so I hunted down a PDF as the only other one online I could find was such a poor quality resolution...

Series 3 Hand Brake Expander play in housing

I'm going to screw around with the packing piece and see if I can get it to pretend to be tight, or somewhat secure. It just sort of surprises me that it's not designed to fit snugly in the hole and stay put =( Reminds me of an American car manufacture's motto "Not just good, just good enough"...

Series 3 Hand Brake Expander play in housing

They could definitely be worn out, I think I'll attempt to bend the packing peice the other direction (it seems to be worn the wrong way, probably due to brute force being applied to the lever I assume) and see where that gets me, really wish I had done that prior to reassembling the whole mess...

Series 3 Hand Brake Expander play in housing

Hello all, I have been attempting to run through a list of tasks to complete prior to going through my first ever MOT and on the list was getting the hand brake to work. I have completely disassembled it, replaced the oil seal as there was oil everywhere and then some. I've cleaned everything...

Hand brake not attached to transmission brake

Plus Gas is a miracle worker, I've found it helps with getting hard to bust loose bolts, screws, and even stuck brake drums apart on my very rusty old field find land rover station wagon...

    restore, repair or get rid?

I have bid around what Pete (NiteMare) suggested on eBay for ones in similar or worse condition... Actually the one I'm bidding on now is a 109" Series III that doesn't even run and I've bid £350 because it's a station wagon 5 door which I've not seen many of in a price range I'm willing to buy...

    restore, repair or get rid?

Great analysis, but at the end of it at least there will be a nice landie sitting in the driveway to keep him company!!! :-)

Save this Landie from the scrapyard

I'm amazed you were considering scrapping that Landie =( It's really nice, not a fan of the red bumper... but other than that... I assume when you said £100 in your ad, you must've meant £1000? I paid £1200 for mine and it's no where near as nice and I had to go into the middle of god forsaken...
