1984 109 FFR 24v hard top ex-mili, chassis has no patches, new rear cross member, door tops, seals, briliiant bulk head with no corrosion, full rear door with no corrosion, very good engine & gear box but some times difficult to get a gear, probably worn stick or detent springs, near new tyres...

WD40 seems to work taking the sticky off left behind stickers, cant see any thing different in those only bigger. I've tried white spirit, meths and petrol, but WD always works. Also disolves the sun burn seals in glass houses when trying to dismantle one, is there anything WD40 cant do?

Hi all, I want to take out the V8 3.9 and install a 300 TDi in my auto Disco, can any one tell me whats needed please? Obviously exhaust, diesel filter etc, but what about gearbox fittings etc, and is it worth the expence/hassle? Cheers Terry

Selling my LPG system off my 3.9 Disco. Its a single point with x2 36ltr tanks, and was installed 2005 by Apollo in Covenrty. Selling as I want to convert to Isusu diseasel. The buyer will have to take it off my Disco and leave me with a running petrol car, cups of tea included in agreement...

'24v' coils are really 10v, thet run on a 10v ignition system so if your coil is working properly it should'nt make any difference. 24v coils have a different coil to dizzy lead fixing as well.

Oh well, I finished thinking and did it! Had no choice, the lock was siezed solid. Lucky the local breakers had a Disco in with a complete door, just wrong colour, but you cant have everything! Took all of 15 minutes to get it off the donor vehicle, but a different story getting my one off...

I'm thinking along those lines, if I remove the seat I think I get enough room to cut the inside door web and rivet it back when finished. Not enough Disco 1's in breaker around here, let alone a siler one, the vehicle is too good to start putting odd coloured panels on, and re-spaying will cost...

The chap who sold it me said I may have trouble with GPS satnav reception because the windscreen glass has something in it which stops the signal, his is TomTom, he had to move it to the very corner as thats the only place it would work, my Navman works fine though, any one else had this problem?
