    Heat triggers alarm?

With the recent hot weather, if the rear of the car is in full sun for any length of time, the alarm triggers, the doors unlock and the back window drops as if opening the door. The central locking sounds a fault beep on the horn. The back window will go right down from the interior switch but...

    Headlamp adjustment

Have just been through the MOT test and had to lower the headlamps as the beams were too high. Dipped beam still seems OK but main beam is a waste of time being too close. Both beams appear to adjust at the same time so can either blind oncoming traffic by raising for a decent main beam...

Door lock fault in hot weather

Hi folks. The heat is upsetting the rear( I think ) door lock sensor. No trouble till the last couple of days. Alarm both key and remote sound the horn briefly indicating a door fault. Headlamp adjustment

Sorry, always questions. 5 door, 53 facelift Freelander TD4. The alarm goes off every other day, sometimes 2 or 3 times. If unlock/disarm then lock a beep from the horn sounds. The rear window will only go down from inside the car but not up? Using the key in the rear door raises the window and...

    Navigator volume

Have been back and forward through the handbook but don't see how to turn off the radio/CD volume and leave the navigation instructions at a comfortable level. Is it me or am I trying to achieve the impossible?

    Slow Auto change

My Automatic changes very slugishly from cold revving the engine just when I want a slow warm up but becomes normal after a mile or two. At 40k miles I assume it has never had a gearbox fluid change so is this normal or would a fluid change be worthwhile?

    Possible owner

Sorry my first post is a question but I am only a potential owner so far. Research suggests the Freelander TD4 to be the top of my shopping list but the question is, should I buy the updated 53/04 at a premium or are the updates not as important as general condition/service record. Over to your...
