I used to have access to an online parts list (including explodes) for my last car (Peugeot) so i could get official part numbers quickly, does anyone have a link for the same for a freelander? I suspect i'm going to have to buy new cables and possably more...

Thanks for all the input! Yeah all of the above makes sense, shall look at the cables, expanders and clean inside the drums.

I've done a bit of searching and can't find this issue. A couple of years ago I had the usual issue of the back breaks not really working at all, including the hand break not holding her on any sort of incline. These were freed up and all was good. I'd be surprised if this is the issue again...

Hey all Just thinking I'd bounce something off ya... I have a freelander 2002 TD4 (75k). I'm having an issue that i loose power (good bit but i can still accellerate but slowly) at 2000-2800 rpm. While this happens i get a massive cloud of black smoke. I'm guessing its either the injectors...

Hey all, I have a LR freelander, 2002, TD4. Use it for hauling about kayaks, surfboards, and mtn bikes. Doesn't see much offroad, but does end up off the standard roads every now and again. Love it to bits, its so practical, i dunno why i didn't buy one ages ago. Also have a Peugeot 205...
