Disco 1 1998 3.9 v8 ECU can it be waterproofed?

Having tried all sorts of ways to waterproof a D1 V8, sone successful, some not, I'd suggest that waterproofing the ECU is probably strengthening the strongest link in the chain. Do fit a wading kit, but don't allow that to make you complacent. Check all the oils after every wading session...

    Disco 1 ABS Issues...

I've stripped and checked the connector already. The pins appear solidly mounted and there's no sign of corrosion. I'd ruled out the ECU on the basis that it is possible to get the system working, briefly if the sensors are pushed down hard. If that's a false assumption, I'm happy to try...

    Disco 1 ABS Issues...

The abs light is on on my 300 V8. I keep getting either 2-12 or 2-14 codes. I've completely rebuild the front axle many times. New CV's bearings, bushes, swivels, the lot. I've adjusted the endfloat, . Everything is adjusted to factory spec. I've reseated the sensors. I've replaced the sensors...

    Disco 300tdi heater broke

The usual culprit is the main blower relay. it is in a rubber sheath screwed to the side of the blower housing. get in the passenger footwell and look up under the dash, pretty much in the middle. The relay has white/red white/black, blue/red and brown wires going to it. Try tapping it to begin...

Disco 1 Oops I did it again...

Because everyone does the exact opposite and I'm obtuse. I wanted ride height levelling - i often carry heavy loads in the boot. I wanted it higher offroad, I don't like grounding out. I wanted it lower on road, it's a bit fast to be too high I wanted a more comfortable ride. Britpart HD...

Disco 1 Oops I did it again...

I will do. Photobucket is having a tissy at the moment. I thought it would be a fairly involved job. I wasn't wrong. I ended up cutting the floorpan out of an RRC as my 300 series discovery apparently had a 200series floorpan. I had to completely strip the RRC loom and de splice both the EAS...

Disco 1 Oops I did it again...

No, I've not become an american singist... I've done the exact opposite of what people say I should. I've fitted the soft dash from a RRC, I've fitted twin turbos and now, I've fitted the entire EAS system from a Classic Vogue SE along with the electric memory heated leather seats. I'm...

Disco 1 Damn snails, getting everywhere!

Hello! Yes, I'm still alive... I decided that after many years of looking the other way, I should really bite the bullet and repair my front inner arches. I stripped it all down, came in the next morning and some orrible little snails had crawled in the engine bay! Has anyone got an...

L322 Not the usual EAS fault...

Well, I'm still nowhere with this car. I finally bit the bullet and ordered an ECU (RTQ000013) as it says it supercedes the one for the vehicle and... No luck. Still showing a 02 Right front valve component faulty fault. I just don't understand how this can be so as the valves have been...

L322 Not the usual EAS fault...

I wondered about that, the build date for the air sus ECU is a year earlier than the car (or any other ECU) I have no proof but I do think it might have been changed. I can't see any signs of water ingress anywhere. If only I had a known good ECU from an '04 on that I could try!

L322 Not the usual EAS fault...

Snap On Ethos, Snap on Solus Pro and Mac MentorTouch. I don't know what has been done elsewhere, or when the problem started but it seems the height sensors are ok as they caibrated fine with the Solus Pro. The battery seems fine, it holds charge and I've even had the vehicle connected to an...
