    Poor starting freelander TD4 (again)

As your cheapest option I would say try some ... Fuel Additive | Performance Additive | DIESEL INJECTOR CLEANER Use as instructed on the label. If that dont work then things are looking expensive. If you have the option to return the car you might want to take it.

    cruise control

I honestly wouldnt bother mate. Roads are way to busy to make it worthwhile. It sounds great but your opertunities to use it are limited.

Should i buy a freelander ??? help please

Get it throughly checked over by a mechanic before you buy it. I didnt do that because I "thought" I knew enough about cars to make a judgement. I have paid the price. When its running though ....this car is a joy.

Cant at the momment SV. I'm working today. It got too late/dark last night to look. But if thats just a level transmitter in that picture then I suspect you are right and I'll need to get the back wheel off when I get a chance. Its odd that they call it a pump though. Think thats whats...

    In tank fuel pump

Right well something is very wrong here ......mine is a 56 plate but I do not have any fuel pump under the wheel arch. All I got is a lift pump in the fuel tank and a high pressure pump under the bonnet. And the damned thing still aint starting :(

    In tank fuel pump

I might be wrong here but I thought I had a low pressure pump in the fuel tank feeding a high pressure mechanical pump under the bonnet?

Aye ...only now the damn thing wont start so getting it to a garage may be a problem. Does the engine immobiliser act of the fuel pump?

    In tank fuel pump

Having read all the similar threads...... Bit of background. 56 plate TD4 Freelander. Engine management light (yellow) was coming on at 2500 revs and would not rev above that. Car had almost no power. There was no smoke from exhaust. I suspected that the engine was being starved of fuel and I...
