I'm just about to order a whole set of parts for my land rover 110 cab (1984 model). However all the parts catologues i have been able to get only start from the 1987 model. I assume at least some of the parts would be the same. Some of the parts for instance i am buying include bushes, ball...

My 1984 110 does not have any any extended breathers. Should i use an appropriate size hose to insert over the breather opening on the diff?

My 5th gear is much louder than my fourth gear, so much so that i prefer to stay in 4th gear rather go in fourth. Is this a similar problem?

My battery light is on sometimes, and other times it is off (when i am driving). any reason for this?
