    Cold start problem

This was my gut feeling, I’ve read every where else that this could be the problem, did you go to the expense of buying the special tool to remove the injectors?

    Cold start problem

I’ve a 2003 Disco td5 manual, about three weeks ago when leaving a realatives the she dicided that it would take a couple of goes before starting, this after a run of about 40 miles, and standing for about 3-4 hours, didn’t think too much of it, went on holiday towing the caravan, and gradually...

The 3 amigos but a little different?

I’ve tried to start this as a new post, but unfortunately it won’t let me, I don’t mean to hijack, but did think it was relevant! My discovery 2 TD5 on the M25 I had the 3 amigos come up on the way to Great Yarmouth 160 odd miles into the trip had a grating sound and vibration through the...

The 3 amigos but a little different?

My discovery 2 TD5 on the M25 I had the 3 amigos come up on the way to Great Yarmouth 160 odd miles into the trip had a grating sound and vibration through the steering, ended up ended up being lifted home. Now I’m 99% sure after reading this post it’s the front off side wheel bearing, should I...

    Disco 2 Weird start

Mine did the same about a year ago, luckily it turned out to be a bad conection onto the starter motor, cleaned and tightened up the connection, been fine ever since, hopefully yours will be as pain free

    Radio code

Hey Gj1, not a problem, it was me that was dumb, should have gone the obvious route to start with, oh and Brian, it is now most certainly written down, and a photo on the phone, as I couldn’t get the radio completely out, so had to take a picture from the underside, JUST managed to see the...

    Radio code

Thanks again guys all sorted, went through a load of hassle on line giving vin numbers and £23 Saturday night, came back with a code, tried it this morning, no good, so did what I should have done first and took out the radio (well pulled it out as far as I could) and Dippypud, you were right...

    Radio code

I’ve just changed the injector loom, in the process I disconnected the battery and now I have no radio thought the code was in the handbook, turns out it was the wrong code, is there an easy way without using a main steeler of getting the code or making it work? it’s the C42, fitted in a D2 td5...

Possible oil in the injector loom?

Cheers Brian, I’ll put the order through, it’s all made out just wanted some feed back before I went ahead, price came in at about £86 for a genuine Landrover replacement, so just wanted a bit of reassurance.

Possible oil in the injector loom?

Does the oil have to get right down to the red plug for the problem to start, or can the problem start before it gets that far?

Possible oil in the injector loom?

Hi guys, been away for awhile, the old girl has been as good as gold she’s a 2004 disco2 td5, apart from having to replace the ABS sensors, except last week, sitting in a traffic jam she was running lovely and smooth, then all of a sudden started to run lumpy on tick over, pulled away and lacked...

Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree

Thanks sierrafery, I'll get it checked again on the diagnostic, pretty sure there was no mention of air gap, and the lights are on all the time, when stationary and moving, also it could be like you said dodgy wiring, it was fine up until the heavy rain, mind that could just be coincidence.

Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree

Thanks sierrafery, I'll double check the battery, and conections, failing that do you think just a sensor replacement will be okay, or should it be a complete hub

Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree

The height sensor warning light decided to go out, don't ask why just did (hasn't popped it head up all weekend), so I was just left with the brake warning light (red), ABS light, hill decent light , traction control, found a mate with a diagnostic reader, and the only fault shown was the near...

Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree

I've had it checked, it looks like it's the frount near side abs sensor, now I've looked on line and was going to just have the sensor replaced, but seen on line that I should replace the complete hub, there is nothing wrong with the hub as it stands, ( passed its mot, first time about 3 weeks...
