    Slave Cylinder replacement - TD4

What we found when we bled it that the tube going into the gearbox was spinning when tightening up the bleeding nipple, I wonder if they have just not put it back together properly? Its still paying someone to take everything apart to find out what it is. So I am looking at £50 for the part +...

    Slave Cylinder replacement - TD4

seems like its going to be an expensive job, and until somebody looks at it I can't confirm 100% that its the slave, it's just with what i've read and bleeding it which seems to temporarily fix it, means there is air getting in somewhere. Unless anybody has any other suggestions?

    Slave Cylinder replacement - TD4

Hey Guys, need a bit of advice if possible. I have a freelander td4 s. and I have been having trouble with the clutch biting really low. We bled it out twice now which improves the situation for smooth gear changes and biting alot higher up. there is obviously a leak in the slave which I...

    First Car - Freelander

Yeah I looked into it and it was about 5k if I did it all myself with certain companies, I will take your advice and try to build up my no claims or be forever stuck. Looking forward to get a freelander though as its perfect for what I want and I think they look pretty good

    First Car - Freelander

You legend! A range rover after 2 years insurance on a freelander. With that policy on the co-op I can build up my no claims which is the great part about it, I will have a look around for the smartbox options in my name and see what works out cheapest though. Maybe theres another option...

    First Car - Freelander

I appreciate your concern, My Dad would be the main driver as he would probably end up driving it more than me. I would basically be using when I am not working, which is weekends and the odd evenings. He would be driving it all week whilst im at work. So realistically I would just be a named...

    First Car - Freelander

    First Car - Freelander

My mum owns the MG ZS Turbo we have, which she uses for work commutes, he basically does the driving when the car is home out of work time. If I had the freelander he could use it during the day and I could use it when I want to go anywhere. So he would be the main driver

    First Car - Freelander

Well If I put him down for 10,000 miles a year and myself for 2000 that makes my insurance 850 a year roughly, we probably wont do all those miles but might aswell insure it for that. I won't be using it for general commuting only trips and when I want to go somewhere at weekend, I live a 10...
