Would have said 5 1/2 inch rims are a bit narrow for 235's. Think the recommended is a 7 inch for 235's

    Should I Buy?

I have never had a comfort problem in my defender, always been happy with it. That said a discovery is a better car on Tarmac. However if you really want a defender because they are awesome then go for it. They retain there value well so if you do sell it a year later you shouldn't lose much. I...

A new defender and trying to convert the missus

The only thing that bothers my wife about our 110 is the climbing in and out bit. The actual driving she enjoys. Not the easiest to parallel park in a city is her only grumble but she takes the train for that

    European Trip - Spares?

I took my defender to the alps, didn't take any spares as I was as confident as I could be about everything that was fitted. Having Europe recovery is good piece of mind. I regularly drive mines to my dads in Perth (600 mile round trip) and do t take anything for that either. Just check...

    Rear Wiper motor

Check the earth cable inside the black rubber tube between the door and frame. Mine looked fine but when I pulled it it snapped. The opening and closing over the years had snapped the core of the wire but not damaged the sheath.
