Think it depends on what you use the car for , just pottering about town and school run original equipment is fine but if you intend to take to the ruff stuff or drive it like a gti maybe something firmer would be better .

Don't know if this will help or even if its connected in any way but I had a short from a chaffed wire on O2 sensor which blew fuse 26 I had the lights on dash showing but it wouldn't turn over , check that fuse as its part of engine management system

Hasn't there been a company doing this to range rovers since there inception mainly for rich Arabs !
