    trouble starting

    check injector washers and o rings, doesnt always lose diesel, but can cause hard starting issues, another comon hard start issue is the conectors on the glow plugs, they should be tight and make good contact. good luck

    can be done without removing the housing, undo circlip and takeout unit, either replace o rings or if regulator is shot you can get a new regulator, 4 bar pressure regulator from an audi dealer. it fits perfectly and lasts longer ....

    Impossible but it happened

    your injectors are pulling fuel through the system,it will run like this for a while untill the revs drop low enough. theary that the system is under pressure is correct, it will start normally and then draw fuel mechanically,it wont perform well but will ceep goin.

    would you like to have a radiator with a hole in it as well? best remove it mate. Then a crank bearing? are you not talking about crank dampner?

    the wire change over wont work, the computer is way too clever for that, yes we tried everything....it sounds like somewhere down the line your vehicle got fitted with a discovery computer box, and that will be what happens, if you have a mate with a td5 ..buy him a bear and just ask to swop...

    hey boet, unplugging it is not a good thing to do to try and get rid of turbo lag. no matter what you do it will always have some lag. Un plugging sensor will cause your fuel consumption to go up and the vehicle will also start to smoke more. I live in Botswana and run a fleet of 23 TD5...

    aux belt pully bearing

    we do it all dhe time, replacement is simple, although after the second or third replacement the inner stretches and the bearing becomes too loose, so then we replace ... our fleet of game viewing vehicles work in the delta and hence need the bearings done every service or before

    stiff steering

    have you checked the bearings in your steering coloumn, they can sieze up and make the steering very stiff. had this problem on a few vehicles in our fleet, also changed everything els before realizing the actual cause.

    oil in water system

    its the oil cooler for sure, very comon problem,we replace with engeneered units mare from copper tubing and brass ends, not easaly corroded, good luck

    just check your relays, they are cheep enough to do and also do yourself a favour and wire in a thin earth wire derectly from the batt to one of the nuts that holds your ecu in place, then see if theres a differance. had one do the same and changed relays around, their pins also work out and...
