Has anyone ever fitted Jate Rings to the rear of a Series IIa SWB Landie? I have some left over from when we had a Defender, and just wandered whether they could be fitted to the rear of the SIIa instead of using the tow bar all the time. Cheers Daren

Thanks to everyone that posted, especially Slob. We managed to change the clutch a week or so ago, and i have been driving the SIIa as much as possible since. So far it has performed faultlessly. Thanks again for all the advice. Daren:)

ah well not to worry, i'll have to make do with Mr haynes' attempt at a helpful manual.;) Any hints/tips or pitfalls to watch out for? I have replaced engines/gearboxes/clutch's on other cars, but never on a Landie. Daren

Where can i find an Emer's manual? I'll get the seals anyway, as it's a no brainer, and use Paddocks. Daren
