    Sluggish disco.........not any more!

And then replace them with 10mm bolts which will be a lot easier to remove with a little ratchet next time you take it apart. Best thing I ever did to mine.

Renewing TD5 Suspension OME or terrafirma suspension parts?

If you want to buy suspension to look good then I highly recommend steering clear of Terrafirma stuff. My Terrafirma shocks and springs look in a worse state after 18months than the 28 year old genuine ones I took off!!! They still perform as they should but the paint quality on them is...

    Fuel for 80p a litre

Been using this for the last few weeks in my 90 and to be fair the engine runs a lot better on it. Much quieter and seems to have more pull to it. At 80p a litre i'm well happy. Problem is my garden is rapidly filling up with empty 5l bottles :whoosh:

    300TDi overheating

Will see what I can sort out. Money is tight and a new rad is top of the list. Didn't realize quite how bad a shape it was in. Cheers for the help mate.

    300TDi overheating

Oh, and just to add - I get literally no smoke from the exhaust at all. Some of these I see are pumping out the black stuff, but apart from a little chuff when I start it, she runs very clean.

    300TDi overheating

But the only one that I can put back to standard would be the diaghram. There is a clear mark on that so it would be easy to do. The smoke screw I have no idea where to put that back to. I dont even know if at the moment it is screwed in or out more than standard as I have fiddled with it so...

    300TDi overheating

Well my rad looks a bit fecked to be honest. Quite a lot of fins missing and the ones that are left in there can very easily be knocked out with a slight touch of my finger nail so that will be the first thing on my list. Just wish there was a way to reset my injection pump so I can start it...

    300TDi overheating

Long story really. At first I adjusted all three parts of the injection pump (not the main one at the back) and the engine performed really well, but after some time it got really sluggish and slow so I adjusted it some more. Never made no difference so I adjusted it some more . I...

    Wales Laning

Couple of vids here from a cracking weekend laning in Wales with SWORC. Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1THrs02Mw4 Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9EvT_aRjIY Adam

    300TDi overheating

Have not had chance to look at this today (visitors) but have been thinking  Would a badly adjusted injection pump cause the engine to run hotter?? Realized that this problem has only come about since I adjusted my pump. Basically, I totally buggered up the settings on my pump...

    300TDi overheating

Cheers guys. Will be checking it out tomorrow to see what I can find. Have not let her overheat but pretty sure it would if I didnt drive at below 55mph.

    300TDi overheating

Have never flushed it in the 3 years I have had it. Will start there. Would a nackered stat cause this?? Have never checked or changed this either. The top hose is red hot when the car is up to temp. What is the tropical mod??

    300TDi overheating

Guys, im after some ideas please. My 300 is running hot, but only at speeds of 50ish and above. Have done two days green laning, with loads of stop/starts and very slow moving and the temp gauge never goes above half. Even driving the roads between lanes the temp is fine but as soon as I hit...

    Suspension help

You probably have the same set-up as me. +2 inch springs with standard height shocks. Not sure why Terrafirma sell the kits like this as they are bloody useless.

    Suspension help

What is the purpose of extended bump stops?? Are they to stop the shock bottoming out and should I need them for a setup like mine??

    Suspension help

Not really going to benefit me then (cheers anyway Paul). Think i'm going to just change the shocks for now to procomp +2 or +3 and fit some relocation cones. Brake lines have already been sorted.

    Suspension help

Thanks all. Would fitting shock droppers cause my shocks to bottom out even sooner - or am I not thinking right??

    Suspension help

Cheers. Not looking for nothing extreme just a little more than what I have now. Most important part is softer springs because for me the TF's are way to stiff thats why I am hoping there is someone that has used the TF's and can compare them to either Britpart HD's or Bearmach HD's. Will not...
