The 200 tdi is from a defender not a discovery.

excuse my ignorance on this but I'm putting a200tdi into a 1996 2.5 n.a. 110. I believe that he engine mountings will be fine so will a off the shelf exhaust fit? Common sense says it will but.........

My mates a registered breaker, doesn't do land rovers normally but saw this on the copart website and bid on it for me. Cost without delivery was £900. The sum of the parts more than covers this. To be honest it wouldn't take much to put the 90 back on the road but due to it being a breaker...

I have bought a 90 for parts for my rebuild. I was told that it is a 300 tdi but I'm not convinced. The 90 was an insurance company total loss so has no ID. The engine mounts look like 200 tdi ones. It has a cylindrical air filter. 2 belts to the front of the engine. Gearbox is a r380( reverse...

Drove this 90 today. Engines sweet but the gearbox wants to go from 2nd to 5th and the same coming down the box. I do have the original gearbox that was mated to the 2.5 and also the discovery box. The gearbox makes no noises but doesn't seen to like 3/4th?

The engine in the defender is sweet as I've heard it run. The discovery engine is untested but been promised it's good. I've had other bits off this bloke and he is yet to lie to me. So, the engine mounts will need moving regsurdless of what engine I choose. Think I go for the defender
