    Back again!!

And....Im back yet again! My LR world went a bit crazy this year, on top of the 79 S3 88 I have added a 61 S2a 88 to the fleet and now also an Ex MOD FFR 90 (1989).....Whoops! SWMBO has insisted that I can now only keep one so with regret the Series's will have to go. Very sad but I do love the...

Jam1 of Staffordshire? I cant put name to face...give me a clue :) Alex, those are fold flat seats rather than fold flat and hinge out.

Defender 90 rear front facing seats

Just picking up on this - great idea but is there enough leg room with the seats partially over the wheel arch?

Wiring Harness serie 3 1972. NEWONE???

Next for me is a rewire aswell. I was reading another forum where a guy makes his own from 7 core trailer wire going to each corner then heavier stuff for the starter etc. He also seems to run wired earths rather than using the chassis - i quite like that principle.

    Back again!!

Hi All. I registered in 2011 when I inherited my S3(ish) but I went off the boil due to kids and business things etc. The truck has sat on the drive for 18 months after a gearbox issue which I resolved (reverse detent spring) but I never put the floor pan back in as I wanted to put new seat...

    Fitting a series gearbox

Hi Gents My gearbox seems to have 'gone'...brilliant timing too just as my vans PAS has 'gone' too...triffic  Im fairly handy around a spanner...can you tell me if its manageable to change the gear/ transfer box on my own (I realise the weight will be challenging)? And can anyone...

    Half shaft concerns....

OK so a new stub axle, no prob, whipped the old one off and found it to be the same pattern as the FTC3188, question is, whats the cut out for on the flange, doenst appear to fit anything? thanks

    Half shaft concerns....

No, went for £160. Mine is shortened to 88 to fit under my S3 tub so as you say, probably a whole world of mucking about! I think Ill just stick to looking for some half shafts and flanges etc cheers

    Half shaft concerns....

OK I have decided to change the shafts as not happy about the welded up ends, found this on ebay: Sounds like a good buy with the new callipers and discs. Will I need a different prop? If so are they difficult to fit? Im guessing the axle is bolt on bolt off? Thanks

    Spats for a S3

More simple to buy the right gear I reckon :-) The flex stuff at Devon4x4 looks good although I just read on a forum where someone was suggesting cutting up B&Q black dustbins...they reckon you get 2 arches out of each one lol....AND its profiled suitably to bolt on...too good to be true...

    Spats for a S3

I hear ya, I really do BUT my truck is a hybrid anyway, nothing pure about it and it won't pass an MOT with the big tyres I have on it. I use it for work in fields and paddocks so the tyres are a Godsend - so, spats are out of necessity than vanity...
