thanks guys but that was the first thing I tried. Its also recently been serviced and had new timing belt.

I have just read a few threads regarding poor starting and having had all Electrics checked and double checked I have still got a problem starting after being stood for about 7 hours. engine turns over but does not fire when it does there is a lot of smoke. I do not like having to wind it up...
