What mileage is your Range Rover P38 on? (1994 to 2002)

I posted on here when I collected my 2000 MY P38 (4.6 V8) with 86k on it. Three years on, and we have done 101,000. Love this car, drive it to the shops, to go out with the missus (it's still got it), and to go out shooting in - the air suspension works like new (famous last words) and the...

    300Tdi Engine Tuning.

I don't know about the change in MOT testing, it was just that when I looked to buy the decat pipes on Ebay the (reputable) business selling them pointed out (VERY CLEARLY) that would fail the MOT emissions test going forward. As I say, sad times.

    300Tdi Engine Tuning.

Update - Twisted also did the EGR blanking too during my upgrade. De-cat of the pipes is inexpensive, but also makes your Defender fail its MOT on emissions, so I won't be doing this anyway. Sad times.

Tail and brake lights simultaneously gone on one side?

I have a 1998 Defender rather than a Series 3, but for me LHS and RHS rear lights are separate fuses, so possibly worth a look / replacement fuse.

    300Tdi Engine Tuning.

I did the intercooler, filters and silicon pipes, with a slight tweak to fuel pump via Twisted, and my 15 year old car drives like new. I will definitely be looking at de-cat pipes, and will (now I have seen about it) the EGR blanking too.

    Fuel pump tuning 300tdi

Hi all - this looks fantastic, but appears to be mainly appropriate to an auto box 300Tdi. Mine is a Defender manual S reg (1998) - no ecu, but I have got new intercooler and pipes, but was looking for a way of tweaking performance (which is already nice) to...well...nicer.

What mileage is your Range Rover P38 on? (1994 to 2002)

W reg 2000 4.6 I bought her at 86,500 and have just taken it to 91,500 in 10 months. Use her nearly every day; lovely thing :)

    p38 range rover tyre pressure

I have 19" Range Rover Sport alloys on my P38, with brand new General Grabber ATs. I have been running 28/34, but do you think I should amend this due to larger wheel diameters?

Thanks mate - only just noticed this comment, so apologies for my tardiness in replying. It's metallic Rioja Red (and Glenda is hardly EVER that colour)!!

    p38 interior walnut add ons

I put a new stereo in and got the blanking plates at the end and covered them up with the 5.99 stick on walnut. Perfect match, and just keeps it neat and tidy.

New battery and drained in an hour

Not sure "cause" was ever found - sounded as though the sparky stopped at the heated screen and suggested replacing the BECM. Only trying to help - sorry for making a suggestion

To Upgrade Intercooler or not to upgrade that is the Question?

I hear only good things about Five Alive tuning, but living in Wetherby I chose to use Twisted Performance in Thirsk as it's just up the A1 from me. They did silicon hoses and interooler on my 200Tdi (which was sadly stolen), and then when I had replaced Mandy (the Landy) with Glenda, they did...

New battery and drained in an hour

Goodfella - I had the same (or similar) issue to you - the BECM just kept getting woken up. We replaced with the latest (I think third revision of rf receiver) from main stealer (£194 ouch), but it appears to have fixed the issue. No draining of new battery any more. *crosses himself, touches...

    300tdi sluggish in mornings

Just to say mine is the same (1998 300tdi with Twisted intercooler and silicon pipes) - and also the sluggishness extends to the gearbox. I have always put it down to being cold / a slow starter, as it picks up once you get going. Cheers, Caddy.

    Hello from Yorkshire!

Morning all...finally got registered on here. Currently own Glenda my beloved Defender (110 SW) 300tdi, and am about to buy a P38 diesel RR to add to the menagerie, so will be looking for the best chipping solution for the new girl. Seen some good comments about the Spider (guys from Hull)...
