    Need advice about 4.6 vogue

Hi guys I'm looking a bit if advice with my 4.6 with LPG kit. The bottom block has cracked, so needs top hat/liner repair or replacement engine. Unfortunately due to redundancy I can't afford to do either. So really I'm wondering, what sort of value would be in the car as it stands, bodywork...

    P38 overheating / mechanics issue

Does anyone know any reliable land rover mechanics in the north west area in northern Ireland? My rangie p38 4.6 is having overheating issues, I know the gaskets are gone, but I left it in with Jamison land rover centre in dervock, who said they'd look at it to see if the block was cracked or...

    p38 overheating/coolant issues

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me out with collant/overheating issues. Its a p38 4.6 v8 converted to LPG, with overheating issues. If I remove the drain plug from the bottom of the radiator, I'm assuming that should drain all the coolant from the system? When I did that with the header tank...

    P38 Heater Matrix / O-Rings

Just a quick question about the heater matrix. I'm getting the wet carpet on my P38, so I guess the o-rings have gone on the heater matrix so... a) If i'm going as far as replacing the o-rings, is there much extra to replacing the matrix as well? Britpart do the whole thing about £40ish b)...

    P38 v8 head gasket - coleraine

Ok, am considering doing the head gaskets in my 2000 4.6 v8 and was wondering if you guys reckon it's best left to a mechanic? From looking at peoples guides etc it looks reasonable, but I wouldn't say I'm a good mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, tho I know how to use a spanner ;p...

    P38 Harman/alpine wiring colour codes

Just wondering if anyone knows the colour coding of the alpine cd multichanger wiring in a p38 vogue. I'm looking to use the cd input for another source so need to know which is the line level?:) Has anyone managed to do this and completely remove the cd changer or does it have to stay there...

    P38 coolant advice

A local land rover specialist told me the other day that at this time of year in UK, it's perfectly ok to top up the coolant with water. I just wanted to know if you guys agree, and if so, at what point does "topping up" become replacing completely, or would it be ok purely using water?

    P38 under powered and overheating

I'm having a problem I'm hoping someone can help with. I've a p38 4.6 which is really down on power and overheating. The lack of power is constant. When I'm on the motorway it will cruise happily at 55-60 with no probe, but as soon as I give it any beans to overtake etc, the temp goes right...

What mileage are you getting on LPG?

Hi, I'm just curious what sort of mileage people are getting to a tank on LPG? Ive a 4.6 V8 Vogue, and the LPG tank is a 90 litre (75 useable litres) and am getting around 160 miles to a tank, which i'd say is quite low Average MPG recently reading on the dash says 18.9mpg, so by my...

Ok, I have a couple of issues on the EAS if anyone can suggest anything Firstly, its normally very sluggish first thing in the morning. I can feel it starting to raise, but never seems to settle in normal ride height, and the light keeps flashing and will keep doing that, for as long as im...

    Range rover heater problems

Hi all, just looking for some help with my range rover heaters. I'm new to rangeys so don't know all the ins and outs yet. Basically the heaters are all fine on the drivers side, but no matter what I do, the passenger side always blows out freezing air, much to the annoyance of my missus ;)...
