Hi All, just been converting the Defender over so i can repair the roof so bought a cheap cab and repaired it and painted it all up. Need some help on a spare wheel holder that can be mounted to the bulkhead. If anybody got one i can buy off them as can't seem to find one anywhere. Help appreciated.

Furloughed time to get the rear oil seal done with new clutch after the arm was punctured and lost the clutch! Maybe not in one day but had several days to take my time!

Hi James, what clutch do you recommend for Defender 90 300tdi, fork punctured through on mine and will do rear oil seal etc while there?

Hi, I recently replaced the rad and inter cooler in my 90 after doing cambelt etc, Bought mine from fleebay from company called alloywork _eu. Had to modify a little as bought oversize ones so rad surround had to be fettled. Been brilliant in summer and put rad cover on over winter to help...

Just got to stop all the other leaks next, done the injectors, tank sender unit and water pump. Oil filter housing next and cam cover with crank breather might make the drive a bit less waterproof!

James your a star! Just turned it round and done it in reverse and its gone straight in!! Hooray. Bit late now to start fitting it to me car!

Hi Doriz, Yeah i checked out allot of u tube vids, and like the manuals they don't show you putting the ring back in place they just say fit the ring! Very helpful.

I did push the piston in a bit further, after i cleaned out the recess etc before i fitted all the new seals, oiled them all up as usuall etc. But the ring is just being a sod to get back in! If i could find i pipe of slightly smaller size i was thinking of compressing it in that and pushing it...

Yes i did but the ring was very crusty and stuck solid in the recess, it took a lot to get it out.

Hi James, thanks for that, i have been trying that and it keeps springing out, it was a bar steward to get out and is slightly twisted so don't know if that's causing a problem! Didn't know if there was a way of clamping it tighter a dropping it in?

Hi All, has anybody rebuilt the steering box ok, the only thing i'm struggling with is fitting the retaining ring back on the piston housing plate! Everything else done ok. even making my own tools for the job but i have been struggling getting this back on, so hopefully someone has found a way?
