Hello,have a look at you tube, there's a video of a guy rebuilding a alternator,and describes the different parts,including the diode pack,....IF you can find one ,i don't think it would be too hard to change,i had to fork out for a new alternator,as finding the pack proved difficult, Plymouth...

Morning all, got a rrc 300tdi 94.. Well changed the starter motor(less than 3 months old)and its been ok,but i 've have had a strange fault appear,...ignition on ,turn key,starter doesn't 'kick out' to engage flywheel,but continues to turn motor,and won't stop!! turn ignition off,still...
