    110 Decisions

110s drive much better on the road in my opinion, and they're almost as good off road. Given the choice, I would have a 110 over a 90 any day

    1994 to 1996 110 for Export

What year and engines do these vehicles have? Also you might want to consider an export form europe if you can find one, as these won't have as much rust as you get here in britain.

    110 Decisions

If you must have a 110, a solid 300tdi is in my opinion the best to get. But have you considered a discovery? :behindsofa:

    Finally got the discovery!

Took me almost a month, but finally got one! 2004 td5, black, top spec pursuit model with manual transmission! It towed my 1.7 tonne jaguar back from chesire superbly. I don't have any of my own pics, just those off autotrader. Now to get a new engine for my defender...:eek::D...

    110 Rear vents?

I'm not entirely sure if they are cross ventilation vents. If they are, they are for letting the air from the heater flow through the cab freely, otherwise the heater will be even more useless than usual.

    110 Rear vents?

Aren't they cross ventilation for the heater?

    Defender or Discovery? Can't decide!!

For £3000, you'd probably only be able to get a 200tdi anyway (although a fairly solid one). 300tdis are more refined though, so if you are willing to pay at least £500 more for a decent one then go ahead :D

    Defender 90 or 110?

    He's a bit racist though:D:rolleyes: To be honest though, I think you'd be better off with a later 300tdi than a td5

Looking to buy a discovery or defender...any advice appreciated.

Personally, I think that mitare****ties around that price are at the end of their usable life, and will be falling to bits, whereas a land rover or toyota will keep going forever (sometimes quite unfortunately)

    Is the disco quiet?

Just test drive them both  Gaylanders are noisier when the door have fallen off but quieter when they're not working:rolleyes:

    Traction Failure

    Defender or Discovery? Can't decide!!

One of the best things about the defender is that you can fill it with whatever **** you like and abuse it as much as you want and it will be ready to be used sensibly the next morning. Having said that, I'm now looking for a td5 disco, as my defender's engine blew up and the vehicle is now in...

Looking to buy a discovery or defender...any advice appreciated.

Well I didn't mean a bitsare****ty! And I didn't realise that land cruisers were so expensive! But still, any land rover you buy for £1500 is going to be a complete rot box

    how much for 04 td5

Not particularly cheap, but not ridiculous either. I don't think it's a 2004 though, as the GS models were only up to 2003 methinks. But for £8000 you could get yourself a half decent ES (high spec model), maybe a 2002 or 3 model. Try and go for vehicles made after may 2002 as these are meant to...

I hate to say this, but maybe if it's reliability you need then you would maybe be better off with a jap motor? :behindsofa:
