    Finally got the landy over to the guy and job done! It now steers, stops and is sitting on a nice solid chassis! My wallet is now 450 lighter. I did all the other bits myself except for the seals, I figure the oil will stop the rest from rusting... Oh yeah, I now need a tank. Will I ever finish?

    thanks lads, springs were ok, the plate that bolts on had snapped, gave a neighbour a fiver to weld it for me, back on the road!

    yeah did the rims last month, dropped it round to a lad who took them off, sand blasted and primed them, I picked them up and sprayed them then dropped them back and he put them back on, all for €80, even left the masking on for me!

    Hi again, been away for a while! So I lent my s3 to my brother and it came back with the exhaust split in 2 and the bracket off! Also the spring when you push the gear lever to the left to select reverse is gone. All gears are working fine. Is the spring just sticking and needs grease...

    Just a quick one for ye, I have the front prop off at the mo and will change the output and diff oil seals. My q is will I need to drain the diff and transmission oil? or would doing it on a slope do? Thanks James

    Nice body job! Do us a favour and take some pics of fitting the door top, incl rubber seal and glazing strips, there are no good diagrams on the web or in books!
