Hi again,

Just back from a guy who is to do some welding for me and it turns out I have a bit more to do!!

First he quoted me about €300 to replace 2 rear hangers, (cut out the old, patch and then replace), weld the centre xmember, patch under front spring, and a few other patches, with me supplying the handers.
Then quoted €200 to treat the chassis, scrape, brush, dry and coat.

What do you think? €500-600 for a soild treated chassis? got to be ok?

While we were under there we discovered the usual leaks, sump gasket, is there a seal on top of the gearbox where the lever / shafts go in?
Overdrive seal, anyone know where to get one?
Also really badly needs a front prop and seals.

Add this top the bits I already have to get, light conversion, mud flaps etc, and its touching €800-900!!

Ah the joys....

Nearly forgot my point:) pricing stuff, been going with paddocks, just wondered if anyone has found anyone cheaper, where I can get the lot?
Also where to get a second hand prop?

Thanks chaps

James

Howya :D I've had loads of stuff sent over from Buckley brothers, they seem resonable with prices, and it's here in three days. I've had a couple of posher bits from LR Series.

Finally got the landy over to the guy and job done!

It now steers, stops and is sitting on a nice solid chassis!
My wallet is now 450 lighter.
I did all the other bits myself except for the seals, I figure the oil will stop the rest from rusting...

Oh yeah, I now need a tank.

Will I ever finish?
