Don't know if you've fixed the problem but my solution which has worked on 2 occasions is to check and clean the red terminal block of oil that somehow got into the ECU unit behind the battery. the oil seems to short circuit the pins causing a number of wayward electrical issues and warning lights,

Amongst other issues the alarm receiver unit on my TD5 has packed up. I believe the unit is located somewhere in the roof lining. I have no Sunroofs so its going to be a bu**er to get out. Can anyone give me a clue on the cost of replacing it or/and how to go about it without recking the roof...

Got a weird problem. White smoke only at Idle on a 2001 TD5. Doesn't use oil or water and doesn't do it all the time. No reduction in performance. Engine is 70,000 miles ( only put it in Dec 2010) Cant see Much smoke when under load. Is this a fuel/air mixture problem. Cant get my head round...

Now here's a thing. I put the EKA code in (eventually) and hey presto it worked. Now according the people that know, i should have to do the EKA code entering every time I lock/unlock. but thats not the case. Locking the drivers door activates the Alarm/immobiliser but Unlocking the drivers...

Its great to have a secure vehicle but when it locks its owner out that sucks. Is there a cure to Central locking that wont unlock, Alarm that wont deactivate and immobiliser that, well, wont re-mobilse. Is there an easy fix or is this one of those problems that makes you think " i should have...
