Found the problem. The air pipes on top of the chassis leg had been burst by hot gases escaping from a small hole in box that I have been meaning to get repaired:5bblush5:. Fixed the leaks and have arranged with a local guy to have it reset tomorrow. Thanks for your help

No back fires, just wouldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding, so to speak. Goes a bit better over 3500 rpm.
