    question

From what I remember, if its a capital 'I', it stands for 'Intercooler', if its a lower case 'i', it stands for injection. In reality, the manufacturers probaly just call any turbo diesel TDI/TDi etc., not really caring what the I stands for ;)

    anyone from S.Wales go offroading

Membership application form for 2007 is now online on the club website ;) If anyone is going to the trial at Whitecliff next Sunday, I'll be there. I'll be in an E-reg grey 90 pickup if you're there and want to come over and say hello (I'll be the younger one of the two drivers driving it, as...

Great work Roy (and anyone else involved). I know I'm only a newish member anyway, but its still good to be back :D

    anyone from S.Wales go offroading

Haven't been to one yet :( The trouble is they are weeknights, and I actually live in Bath, I'm only a member of the Wye and Welsh because my father-in-law is, and so it made sense for me to join them as well. I'm over in south Wales quite often at weekends, but very rarely during the week, so...

    anyone from S.Wales go offroading

Any Land Rover driver is more than welcome mate, I've seen people turning up to event in anything from a 101FC to a Disco3. You probably wouldn't want to do a trial in a Freelander though, even the Tyro's might be a bit rough for them, but I'm sure no one would stop you if you wanted to try! :D

    anyone from S.Wales go offroading

I'm a member. Only recently joined, but if you join up I'm sure you'll get to know some other members who go green laning. You could also try one of the Tyro trials they organise, which are completely non-damaging (so long as you don't do anything stupid, but the same applies to any off...

    Are these wheels passed it?

Right, well, they're all painted up and fitted to the LR now :D They definately look the business compared to the standard LR wheels and standard Rangemasters. Didn't realise quite how noisey the General SAGs were going to be, but I'll either just get used to it, or end up shelling out for some...

    Budget Off Road Tyres

I see a few people using Colways, and several of the Bronco retreads, so they can't be too bad.

    Are these wheels passed it?

Ahh, they should be back on by sometime next week ;) I'm almost done repainting them, and they'd don't look too bad :D Mind you, I still fancy a set of silver modulars and some BFG MT's, so I might sell them on a couple of months time, but these will have to do until my bank balance recovers a...

    Tonneau Cover

Where is your spare wheel mounted? Mine is on a wheel carrier hanging off the back, so I guess it won't cover that? I'll have a look at them though :D

    Are these wheels passed it?

Nah, I won't be going to the bother of blasting them etc. I'm just flaking off the paint, brushing off all the rust, slapping on some Kurust and then painting them with Hammerite. It'll do the job for now at least, and will cost not much more than a tenner for all five.

    Tonneau Cover

Yup, its just a big canvas (or other material) cover to go over the pickup bed to keep the water off, like this one (not the bit over the cab, just the bit over the rear) : I've got a full canopy to go on the back, but I don't really need something that size plus I reckon it doesn't look as...

    Tonneau Cover

Ah fair enough then. Like I say, I haven't seen any others for sale, so didn't really know what an 'average' price would be having only seen one :D

:D No deal (but ask me again in a month ;) )

    Are these wheels passed it?

lol :D Well, you never know, they may end up on eBay in a couple of months time ;)

    Tonneau Cover

Does anyone know of anywhere that sells tonneau covers for the back of a 90 pickup? The only place I've found so far is All Wheel Trim, and they want £75 for one, so was just wondering if anyone knew of anywhere else that sells them, preferably for less ;)

    Are these wheels passed it?

OK, so I've just bought a 90 and the previous owner 'threw in' a set of General SAG's mounted on some quite rusted white 8-spokes. I've attached a closeup of the worst of them, and I was just wondering if you guys would say they were still usable or not? They look a mess, but feel solid to me...

    Wheel nut size

How does that work then  (or doesn't it ;) )
  19. A

    Not another Noob question....

Well, I've just bought a E-reg 90 pickup for £4k, mechanically in excellent condition, retrofitted 300TDi (so I can confortably do 70mph ;) ), decent bodywork (a few dents, faded paintwork but nothing T-cut can't cure). Speed bumps at speed are fun, even with heavy duty springs on the rear...

    Wheel nut size

lol. Well, I'm sure by the time I'm done I'll have a decent tool kit on board. For now, if I get stuck I'll be relying on the AA :p: Cheers for your help Yella ;)
