    Engine Cutting Out

Just had head gasket replaced and a new fault has developed. When using power steering at tickover speed the revs drop and engine dies. Car drives fine with a/c, lights etc on but even when parked if pulling wheel from side to side the revs surge between 500 and 1000 if I keep wheel on full lock...

Been back on the Diagnostics at the garage but not showing up any faults. The mechanic says he does not know...

Couple of pics here if anyone can point me in the right direction. Leak seems to come from drivers side below/behind pulley belts. Mad Hat...

    Well behaved hippo

With apologies to all those who have serious problems with their hippos, I would like to bang the drum a bit for the good hippos out there. Just had mine serviced, new timing belt fitted, new MOT and the whole lot cost me 200 quid. This is the only money I have laid out on repairs or mantainence...

    Good things about Freelanders

Just spent an hour going through the latest posts and found lots of guys out there with lots of various problems. Just thought I'd ask the question: Are there people out there with good things to say about their Freelander? As I've said before on another thread, I like my 1.8 petrol job and...

    Freelander air con

Hi, came across your site while surfing for a price for regassing my Freelander. It's a 51 plate 1.8 petrol and I've owned it about 3 years. I do not know if the a/c has been serviced during annual services but anyway it has given up the ghost totally. Much as I may need it during this spell of...
