I knew it wasn't going to be a cheap toy but a burning ambition to own a fantastic vehicle has at least been achieved. I guess I will just have to take the rough with the smooth and like you guys have said, love her when she works!! Thanks for the response.:)

Thanks for that then. Best raid the piggy bank now then (and that of the children come to think of it). Do V8's or any Landy for that matter, seem to last longer and be less trouble if they are run regularly or does it not make any difference. This is really going to be an every day run...

Have had my 1989 v8 110 just 6 days and already there is a leak coming from my radiator. A bit gutted to say the least, was hoping that after laying out the cost for purchase and some seatbelts for the children that it would be hassle free motoring for a while, but no .... just my luck...
