It's the shape of the window. Our disco 3, audi and merc all came with them and they have been fine.

I just use unipart ones because they cost about £2 and all wipers are the same on a defender.

Where would the articulation come from?

If you want to do a proper job and have a nice handling car then get the lot. If you just want it to be taller then you don't need them.

How do they actually work on old defenders? Is it just the load on the circuit which is obviously more when a trailer is attached? I was wondering this yesterday because I have indicators on my roof and now when I put the hazards on the trailer light flashes.

So I got my sankey yesterday and it's absolutely immaculate. Fully restored by last owner. But there's one thing that's bugging me. In the middle of the wheels there's a sort of bracket sticking out. What's it for? I can't see any reason for it to be there but the all have it.

It's not the power that's the issue, it's wheelbase. I've towed a lot of different things with my 90. Never had a problem with a trailer but I had a golf on an A frame and it was trying to push me straight on instead of following me round corners. Then again it was totally unbraked. Personally...

But you'll get covered in grease every time you lean on it. I used black shoe polish on my arches. Looked amazing for a few months.
