Hello, Currently rebuilding second series 1 86, I want a fully syncro box but I also want to retain the mechanical clutch, so is it possible to bolt the series 1 bellhousing on a series 3 box?

Has anyone got the cog bearing bit that you put in the gearbox that goes in the back of the gearbox? I need one becaause my overdrive didnt have it! hence it was cheap!!!!!

Just got hold of a series 3 gearbox to fit in my 2a, which clutch do i use? Do i have to fit a series 3 clutch aswell or can i use the exsisting 2a one?

Just bought a nice series 2a swb, it has had a rebuild at some stage but has sat for about 3 years, The only problem i could find while drivein it was, the clutch was extremly heavy and there is like a delay when you bring it up and it lurches, i replaced the slave and master cylinder and...

Whats stopping we welding leaf spring saddles to standard range rover axels and bolting them to my series 3? This will give me disk brakes all round, Has it been done before? Any recomendationd etc? Just thought its alot less than disk brak conversion,

Hello just fitted new injector pump 2 my 2.25 diesel, it runs fine but smokes more than it did before with old pump, Do i there for need to advance it or retard it?? Another note people running landys on vegi oil it siezes injector pumps!

What wires ho where? Got two big spade connectors and 1 small, on back of alternator! starting from scratch! Cheers Jon

Ime breaking a series 3 88, good running petrol engine very rotten chassis, other than that pretty much complete! Rot free bulkhead! Fair amount of series 2a parts also available. Lots of body pannels PM me if you need any bits, No overdrive ime affraid! Cheers Jon

Will the 2.5 td turbo bolt on a 2.25?! and if it does bolt on will it work for any length of time!?!! and will it be any "better"? Jon

Are the series 3 6cylinder and 4cylider gearboxes different in anyway other than the bellhousing?! Eg can i replace my 6cylinders gearbox with a gearbox from a 4 cylinder if i swop the bellhousings over?!! cheeers

Hi I have a 1952 series 1 80" And it has intermitent chargeing am getting fed up with it now so thought I would fit an alternator insted of a dynamo. Does anyone know what else i have to change except the dynamo for an alternator? Do i need a new voltage regulator? Cheers Jon
