    Thanks for that td4van. If I knew there was going to be this much involved I wouldn't have bothered. There is nothing in the kit that tells me about this. Now I realise why the fitter at Halfords told me that they are told not to fit stereos to cars with fibre optics.

    Sounds like the hose to the intercooler is damaged. I had same problem, changed hose which cost about £20 and no problem since.

    Just got my td4 back from garage after having new slave cylinder and clutch fitted.Cost £616.00 total,parts,labour and vat but struggling to get into gear. Returning to garage to complain that it is worse now than when it went in.
