Freelander 2 (LR2) Changing Alpine Head Unit

Hi all.
Looking for a little help if possible. I am trying to change the head unit in my 2010 FL2 from the Alpine 6 preset without SatNav to a Sony double Din touch screen. I bought a fitting kit from Incartech which allows me to keep the steering controls, parking sensors and it bypasses the fibre optic system. The problem I have is once I connect all the plugs and connect to my new unit there is nothing to plug into the speaker system. I have had the unit powered up but cannot get any sound and I was hoping that someone has possibly used this kit from Incartec and could maybe help. The instructions with the kit are no help as it only describes part of the process. After spending £230 for the kit plus the cost of the new unit it has not been cheap.

Did you have fibre optics to remove from the original radio?

The Alpine setup only came with 10 presets where you said you have 6.....

Do you have a photo of the original headunit? Have you fitted the amp bypass cable?

Sorry I should have said 10 presets. I have fitted the amp bypass cable that came with the kit I got but there is another harness in the kit box that i am not sure where to connect to.
The brown plug in the attached photo would plug into the back of my new stereo but there is no other plug available to plug the green one into from the vehicle harness.

The green one plugs in to the amp harness - amp is located on the Rh rear of the car behind the boot trim

Thanks for that td4van. If I knew there was going to be this much involved I wouldn't have bothered. There is nothing in the kit that tells me about this.
Now I realise why the fitter at Halfords told me that they are told not to fit stereos to cars with fibre optics.
