probably fuel pump..check front or intank fuel pump.

Problem is SOLVED...switch was not put properly (Brake pedal must be pressed when inserting the switch) .. thanks guys..

it does not work when engine is running or not. when you switch on the light,both rear lights are working but whenever you press brake pedal..NO brake lights on both rear and tail lights.

alright...put the old switch back and there was power to the bulbs. so this means my new switch is FAULTY ?? cheers

yeah. new harness fit into the old one. press and hold brake switch and twist it to ensure the blue bit slides into bracket.

the bulbs are fine as well

last week got 2 amigos (TC & HDC LIGHTS) and recently changed new updated brake light switch XKB500120 and its harness YMQ503280. checked the fuses and seemed fine. no more TC & HDC lights on dashboard BUT no brake lights when i pressed the brake pedal!!! any ideas? :confused::confused...

yes, i thought there must be wiring harness for cruise control as mine is freelander td4 2001 .never bother to pull the switches out first as my td4 was at my dad's house 200 miles away.

do you still have sunroof rail ?

are they still available ? they are for facelift freelander right?
