Personally i feel its down to personal choice i have a manual disco tdi i went for the best car that was avail for my budget and went from there i would prefer an auto cause im lazy but otherwise no complaints with the manual easy and light to drive no real ball ache

Mine did the same when I first got it With out the smoke or water ingress though it would happen when warm and when revved it disappeared just changed the oil pressure switch and it has not come back since the easiest and cheapest fix first imo

Thanks for that she drives nice and easy esp when the kids are in the car so about 10 less than the tdi then not too bad cause the fuel is cheaper and the V8 is a lot cheaper to buy the the derv i suppose if it got to bad i could shell out for lpg or just do a tdi conversion

or island 4x4 in sheerness have a large parts catalogue as well they list the front pipe for the disco it doesnt say wont fit autos etc??

i had the same problem the other day but it was just frozen by the time i had gotten to work it opened fine but im afraid that i dont have any idea about yours

not sure about your senario but when my slave cylinder went i had no fluid left at all

syncro?? what gearbox do you have? could be lots of things matey

might sound like a stupid response and im sure youve tried it but what about the clutch cylinders?? a little low on fluid will make the gears hard to engage??

if its lease purchase then you have a tri partate agreement in place contact your finance company and explain the situation to them they have to help out its part of the contract they may kick but they have to after all you have a contract with them its simular to buying something on a credit...

changed the oil pressure switch and clutch cylinder oh and installed a radio in it as well the old girl needed a little bit of loving today the wife does to but she is not as much fun off road

all sorted new pressure switch installed first day off in a week and now its sweet as a nut thanks for the help with out the forum i would of been panicking !
