thought id post an update in case anyone else has similar problem. I got the local experts in and it seems to be a faulty Temp Gauge sender/sensor. Apparently the engine goes into limp mode when the temp gauge gets to a certain temp. Ill find out for sure tomoz when the new part is fitted

Good call but I dont think so as the four holes are only on the number plate side of the vehicle. the other side has none

heres a photo. there are 4 of these holes. All look to be brass and are threaded. Any ideas?

Hay all. On my 2010 Puma 90, there are four threaded holes (look like brass rivets) Any idea what these are? they are positioned around the number plate (a few inches from the plate) One is a bit rusty and has started blistering the paint around it. iv no idea what they are

Yeah mate, its gonna take me enough pursuading to get a Defender as a daily car so the more modern inside it is the better. she wont entertain the older style so im afraid its that or nowt. unless I get rid of her!! Hmmmm lol

according to the manual, its just a small opening at the bottom of the air cleaner unit. this one has a long metal pipe dissapearing down. So will this pipe be attatched to anything at the other end, or will it just be a open ended pipe? Cheers for the help

Hey dudes i was gonna change the air cleaner elemenmt in my 2.5na. Had a quick look earlier and at the bottom of the air cleaner unit, a pipe is attatched that seems to dissapear down towards the ground. Now according to the manual, this shouldnt be there. Any ideas what it is??

My 90 came from the Army with them painted. The paint is fine on them. I think they look better black though
