    Here here! my classic is due to have its mot on tue and it will be the first time it will have been on the road for over a year i cant wait. I have missed that v8 soooooooo much specially now since ive put a kent cam in it! Balls to fuel efficiancy!

    Nowt worked so removed head and took it to local engine specialist engineering company( JF Payne in Eynsham). They ended up drilling it out and inserting a wire thread insert. They said it was a nitemare to get out as was completely seized in!

    tried welding a nut on and it didnt work, there is only approx 3mm left sticking out so mole grips cant grip it. will try the bigger drills tomorrow.hope it works as dont fancy having to remove the head!

    I spoke to real steel and their cams were not suitable as like you say the torque is at the top end and i want it at the bottom, which is what ed said his offered. I already have a janspeed exhaust and K&N filter fitted. I now just need a cam, i already have new followers chain and sprockets etc...

    In the recent episode of wheeler dealers Ed China fitted an uprated cam to a defender 90. He mentioned during the show he had found it on the internet for approx £120. I would like to fit one of these cams to my rangie for a bit of extra grunt low down. but dont know where he sourced it from?

    RRC Stuck in High ratio

    Welcome to the money pit club!! my to do list seems to be never ending!lol A good few white knucles will help free it off. Mine gets stuck occaisionally and i stick the main box in neutral with the engine running and it seem to help a bit!
