I ideally don't want a rotten bulk head just cause that's big work, if that's the case I want it for next to nothing lol.

As long as it is possible to get running realy. The old man is a mechanic and mot tester, I used to be a welder and now work for wurth so I can get all kinds of cool stuff to treat rust and prep lol

Just got back from some green lanes and my diff lock won't disengage in my 300tdi. Slipped straight back in to high range the leaver goes freely over to the right but the light is still on the dash and the lock is still on. Helpppppppp lol any ideas chaps

I'll give a fluid a go I might try a heavier oil, someone said someting about bearings but to be honest it could be any bloody 1 so I don't wanna go just changing bearings randomly and pointlessly if they don't need it, someone else said tranny box

Done and seems fine, oh saying that the gearbox dip stick blows out by a couple inches everytime I lift the bonnet the bloody thing is poking out a bit

Good evening chaps my 300tdi has a annoying whuring/whine at between 50-70 shuts up at over 70 and when I lift off it's not what I would call a grinding sound. It is deff from underneath and towards the middle or front, auto gear box works fine and smooth (as smooth as s old 300 ever will be...

I was out on the lanes the other weekend and I had my diff on the mound of rutts luckly enough the mud was soft and no big arse rocks there to smash it but don't fancy trying my luck
