A friend of mine had the same problem as you. A long shot here, but check the condition of the fuel filter housing. If it's showing signs of corrosion, it could be letting air in.

Well I've replaced with a whole new rear prop. The original problem, which was prop thud has gone, great news. Took it for the test drive & I'm having vibration between 50-60 mph. Also getting a whine whilst under acceleration & load. But this goes away when I lay off the throttle or the road...

I got the disco 3 & absolutely love it to bits. Oh and it's one hell of a capable vehicle. The 4 should be much better again. I'd leave the steps on for protection, mine are ok & I do green laneing. I've not ripped them off.......... YET:D

Have you still got air suspension fitted? Perhaps they were removed if he had a spring conversion, Conditions of the insurance. Double check!!!!

These window mechanisms are a nuisance. Changed mine twice. Plastic runner cracks in half & falls away. Or the teeth grind away on the mechanism itself, hence the jumping at the top.

I was thinking of doing a day off roading @ strata Florida wales on the 28th dec 2013. Would any of you fancy this. There is a few from my area up for it. All welcome & open to any ideas you have. What you think peeps?

I know the specified one by land rover is called something like cold climate fluid STC 50519 I believe.

Only one way to find out. Take the old girl out for a spin. Let me know how you get on.

Take the disco for a spin, get some speed up & get it all up to temp. When you get back, touch each individual wheel hub for any signs of excessive heat displacement. They should be cool to the touch. If you can't keep your fingers on the hub from excessive heat, then there's your problem...
