There is a good possibility the rear diff on my 110 is going to need changing. Is this possible to do oneself? I live in a fairly remote part of Ireland and the local mechanic hasn't got a clue. I have searched the forums but can't really find anything about this. Thanks for any advice. Pete

Thanks for the replies. I have been using britpart replacements but so many in such a short time seems to suggest something else. I do pull heavy trailers from time to time - but wasn't when any of the breakages happened. Any suggestions as to the next step? Thanks again.

I have a 110 defender in the pas 12 months I have replaced the half shaft 3 times and the flange once on the rear driver side. Any suggestions as to why this may be happening. I don't off-road. Is it a problem with the rear diff? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
