Defender 110 200Tdi mystery of the day

I think I've resolved the problem through one of these three adjustments. The problem appears to have disappeared. The two screws holding the fuel filter were very loose so I tightened them. I can't imagine this was the problem. (see photo) The rubber cover of the wires leading into the tank...

Defender 110 200Tdi mystery of the day

Yes, the engine can cope with sustained high revs. The thing runs perfectly except when hitting a roundabout at decent speed. As strange as it sounds, I don't think I have had more than a half tank of diesel in the two years I've owned it.... until now. This is probably the first time I've...

Defender 110 200Tdi mystery of the day

So my 110 200Tdi with 110k miles has decided to sputter and stall in roundabouts. If I enter a roundabout at normal speed it feels like I am running out fuel. The tank is full. The Defender starts and runs perfectly otherwise. And after it sputters to a stop in or just after the roundabout...

    stereos on the market

What I would like ideally is something that looks as understated as the factory kit in my 2000 Disco TD5 with the high spec cassette/cd changer system....but with a single CD player and MP3 jack. Most everything on the market looks a bit boy racer for my tastes. I guess the Clarion I posted...

    my disco or HER !!!

The esteemed members of this forum would be better placed to give you advice on this rather serious matter if you provide us all with pictures of the Land Rover and the girl. Both covered in mud for best effect.

    stereos on the market

These guys claim that this plugs right in without any adapter or rewiring at all. Sounds to good to be true but I'm going to give it a try as my cd changer no longer functions and the radio crackles with nasty feedback. Clarion CZ509EG

how long should a heated windscreen take to work???

within thirty seconds mine seems to thaw thin ice in a few vertical bands ranging from 1/2 to 3 inches wide. eventually the entire windscreen defrosts in 2 minutes or so. looks weird while i have these vertical bands of defrosted areas running the entire height of windscreen

    Half Rack?

Hello. Anyone out there know a UK manufacturer of a half rack similar to this available from roverracks.com in the US? Are they called something other than half racks in the UK? Thanks for your help...

    Side Steps

Most certainly will have to drill some holes. It's the aftermarket ones that bolt on in 15 minutes... I bought some from a sidesteps stockist ..... about 200 quid all in... nice quality

    td5 remap or chip

I just cleaned the MAP Sensor on my 2000 TD5 with auto trans and 123K miles. It was pretty bunged up with heavy oily goo. I am shocked at the transformation in performance! This TD5 is not only my first Land Rover but my first diesel of any kind so I thought the somewhat sluggish performance...
